Trying to get an updated grasp of what the various excuses and viewpoints are on Trump’s appeal, and who his base really is. I’ve seen many articles pointing the finger… GOPe, Tea Party, Democrats, and yes “Thanks, Obama”. Im still not certain we really have a homogeneous group supporting Trump.
My own anecdotal account from watching Twitter, and the Trumpkins that troll Rightie thinkers who slam Trump, are some (all?) white supremacists, neo nazis for sure. Following a few Black Anti Trump Conservatives and Libertarians, who highlight it when one tries to insult them, you see the absolute worst. Stay strong, Black Cons. I stand by your nonconformity, keep fighting, your winning!
So conservatives certainly look like Trump supporters., also lots of angry single issue anti DC corruption independents, lots of anti illegal immigration, anti immigrant. And all of them, it seems, have this weird anger driven narrative about “He Fights!!!!” I think they see his stubborness in the headwinds of reality as intestinal fortitude. Deluded.
All of the above people don’t exhibit very deep thinking in the defense of there positions observing them on twitter, a palpable wierd hero worship is going on there. Thus why I say he’s Mussolini, complete with his fascisti at his rallies.
I see merit in all of these below articles:
Trump dominates in Open Primaries:
I know of 3 Democrats admitting to crossing over strategically for Trump. I can’t be the only one seeing how consistently Trump polls a deficit 7-10% vs HRC, and also think hes a horrible General Election candidate. Most recent one here:
Those are double digit leads.
“The labor unions, who usually support the Democrats, a lot of our members, and a lot of their families, are supporting Trump,” said Keith Strobelt, a political director for the United Steelworkers local union in Canton. Strobelt does not support Trump.”
Almost 20% of likely Democratic voters would today cross parties and vote for Donald Trump, while only 14% of Republicans would cross parties to vote for Hillary Clinton.
Additionally when crossover voters were asked how sure of their votes they were, 63% of Democrats who would crossover to vote for Mr. Trump today were “100% Sure” of their vote while only 39% of Republicans who would crossover to vote for Ms. Clinton today were “100% Sure”, demonstrating that potential Republican defectors to Hillary are significantly less sure of their intention versus Democratic defectors.
Heard this on NPR last week, Omarosa is a Dem, worked in Clinton campaign http://www.npr.org/2016/03/12/470228206/barbershop-the-campaign-creep-and-how-to-handle-politics-in-relationships
Is Donald Trump a democrat round up:
Jake Tapper asks Trump about his donations:
One interesting thing Ive seen, in looking up all these, is that there is a lot of questioning going on in the Conservative blogs, and the #NeverTrump hashtag on twitter is all over.
None of the above… conclusive, to my mind. I’m reserving judgement on who Trump’s real base is.
I see Trump losing by 20% in the popular vote, after HRC uses every GOP stereotype HARD vs Trump. He’s an even bigger target for those campaign ads than Romney was. He just. Doesn’t. Shut. Up.
As for me, I’ve seen enough, I’m sick of this guy. #NeverTrump
Update: US Election 2016: The Trump Protectionist Party
Hillary Clinton is a Democrat. Donald Trump is also a Democrat.
Come on, you know it’s true. This isn’t a political race, it’s a class race.
Take a look at his economic policies.
Update 2: “Low-information,” “deserve to die…” Yeah, right–I voted for Trump and I went to Stanford
